Navan, the all-in-one travel and expense management super app, has announced its acquisition of Tripeur, a Bangalore-based travel management company. This acquisition is Navan’s fifth in the past two years and is aimed at addressing challenges in India’s traditionally manual travel market. It will provide Navan with direct access to local low-cost carriers, unconventional inventory, and on-the-ground support services, including VIP and lounge assistance at airports and visa facilitation.
Tripeur is a corporate travel experience solution that allows businesses to manage their entire travel experience on a single platform. It helps reduce travel expenses and enhances the employee experience, making it attractive to companies ranging from startups to large enterprises. Tripeur’s proprietary “three-in-a-box” platform complements Navan’s people-centric software design, offering a comprehensive solution that improves the traveler experience, maximizes cost savings for CFOs, and streamlines travel administration.
Navan’s CEO and co-founder, Ariel Cohen, emphasized the need for tech-savvy employees to have online and mobile-first solutions, regardless of their location. The acquisition of Tripeur will enable Navan to scale and adapt its technology to meet the demands of its growing list of enterprise customers worldwide. Thiagarajan Rajagopalan, co-founder and CEO of Tripeur, highlighted the synergy between Navan’s scalability and Tripeur’s localized technology, inventory, and support, which will result in exceptional products and services in the region.
Established in 2015, Tripeur has received backing from investors including Pentathlon Ventures and Incubate Fund. With this latest acquisition, Navan has expanded its presence to 21 cities globally, including Amsterdam, London, and New York City, following five acquisitions across the UK, Germany, Sweden, Spain, and India in just two years. Navan’s mission is to provide companies with real-time visibility, cost savings, and control while empowering employees to focus on their priorities and streamlining travel administration processes.
