A tech startup from India, incubated at the renowned IIT-Madras Incubation Cell, has introduced an innovative smart ring called ‘Ring One.’ This cutting-edge wearable device offers advanced health tracking features, contactless payment capabilities, and a groundbreaking cuff-less blood pressure measurement function.

The startup, Muse Wearables, has announced that Ring One is designed and manufactured entirely in India and is currently in mass production. The global launch is scheduled for September 27, 2023, followed by an Indian release on October 25. Pre-reservations for the product are now open.

Ring One is being hailed as a pioneering advancement in wearable technology, with Muse Wearables claiming that it has been trained with 5 million data points from over 4,000 individuals. This extensive training enables Ring One to provide clinical-grade accuracy for health-related information and introduce cuff-less blood pressure measurement within a ring, a first of its kind.

Muse Wearables, based in Bengaluru and with registered offices in Chennai, Singapore, and the US, is known for selling the world’s first payment-enabled hybrid smartwatches.

K L N Sai Prasanth, Co-Founder and CEO of Conzumex Industries, highlighted Ring One’s unique features, including its ‘Turn wheel’ interface and the all-new ‘Magic Glyph’ interface on the charging case, providing a distinct user experience that sets it apart from other smart rings in the market.

George Francis, CTO of Muse Wearables, emphasized that Ring One serves as the ultimate health companion, capable of measuring six different vital signs: Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Temperature, Respiratory Rate, Heart Rate Variability, and Blood Pressure.

Constructed using Titanium grade 2 and Ceramic (Zirconia), Ring One is not only lightweight but also exceptionally durable. Its multi-layered coating and diamond polishing ensure a beautiful finish while making it scratch-resistant. To ensure maximum comfort during wear, the inner layer of the ring is crafted with medical-grade epoxy.

Muse Wearables claims that Ring One boasts a battery life of up to seven days, and when combined with the charging case, the battery life can be extended for up to a month. This unique and feature-packed smart ring is poised to make waves in the wearable technology market.
