BrightChamps, an edtech startup based in Goa specializing in essential skill learning, has marked its inaugural acquisition since its establishment in 2020 by taking over Education10x, another edtech startup located in New Delhi that focuses on education for children.
BrightChamps has acquired Education10x through a combination of cash and stock as part of its mission to offer a comprehensive solution for equipping children in the K-12 segment with essential skills necessary for the future.
This announcement follows BrightChamps’ recent successful funding round of $63 million, led by investors such as Premji Invest, GSV Ventures, Binny Bansal, 021 Capital, and BEENEXT. This funding round propelled the edtech startup to attain a valuation of $500 million, positioning it as a soonicorn.
Education10x, established just 18 months ago by alumni of IIM Calcutta, namely Gyan Tiwari, Prasanna N Muley, and Bhavishya Chaurasia, claims to have developed the world’s first gamified finance program tailored for children and teenagers between the ages of 8 to 16. The startup’s interactive curriculum features live one-on-one lessons conducted by finance experts with CA and MBA credentials.
Education10x currently offers its educational programs to students in 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United States, Canada, the UAE, Qatar, and others. As part of the acquisition, all founders and employees of Education10x have joined BrightChamps and will continue to operate Education10x.
